Honne wood is midst the best wood that used to produce fine wood applications. This range of Honne – Australian Honne wood is heavier than the Teak wood. This wood is native of Australia. It is highly admired for its quality, performance, resistance to termites, durability & ability to endure extreme climatic conditions. For this superiority, hone wood is too used in Outdoor construction works. It is immensely used in making doors & windows.

Characteristics of Australian Honne Wood

• Hard fiber structure with some grains and is of high density. The cut log contains moisture of around 40-50%
• It has mild oil content and moist timber wood.
• The typical mean circumference is between 600mm to 2000mm and diameter of up to 700mm.
• The usual length is between 800 – 4100mm which depends on the age and growth rate of the timber.
• Sawing yield is only approx. 65-70% whilst milling.
• Normally free from typical defects but can sometime carries visible defects.
